July 15, 2026

HARRISBURG –Rep. Joshua D. Kail (R-Beaver/Washington) announced the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) awarded a $5.547 million grant to Industry Borough Municipal Authority for its ongoing water quality project.

According to Kail, several upgrades will be made to the drinking water treatment disinfection process which include the addition of a raw water tank for oxidation and a 6,000-gallon distribution pumping tank, the installation of an emergency generator and the cleaning of two groundwater wells.

“This significant investment is the result of strong collaboration between state and local leaders who share a commitment to improving the quality of life for our residents,” said Kail. “I was proud to work to secure this funding, and I appreciate the partnership, advocacy and dedication from local officials throughout this process. Today’s news is a great step in providing resources that will strengthen our community and benefit the people we serve.”

Founded in 1988, PENNVEST provides grants and low-interest loans for design, engineering and construction of publicly and privately owned drinking water distribution and treatment facilities, as well as storm water and wastewater projects.
